Forest Sprite Keeper of Secrets

Fly agaric mushrooms grow where the forest remembers something. Where something once happened that cannot be forgotten — or spoken aloud.

The Keeper of Secrets appears in precisely those places. Quietly, without announcement — simply there when you didn't expect it. On his head sits a crown of fly agarics — red caps spotted white, like festive attire for an occasion that outsiders have no business knowing about.

His eyes are bright green and luminous. Eyes like that belong only to those who have seen enough to know the value of silence.

They say no gathering deep in the forest happens without him. He chooses the spot. He checks for stray ears among the trees. He senses, first of all, when it's time to disperse. Everything seen and heard, he keeps — securely, without leaks, without hints. The forest trusts him with its most guarded things.

Place him on a shelf and he'll simply stand there, watching you with green eyes. Calmly. Somewhat solemnly. As though he already knows something about you that you haven't figured out yet.
