A fearsome warrior of many battles. Battle axe, shield and horned helmet — the Viking's inseparable attributes.
He came south when his longship needed repairs and winter caught him here. He stayed because Gnomenlands, as he put it, turned out to be not entirely without interest.
The helmet may not be entirely accurate from a historical point of view. He knows this. He does not find it relevant. It fits, it looks right — and in his experience, most arguments about historical accuracy are made by gnomes who have never been anywhere that required a helmet in the first place.
His red beard is visible from a distance — and more than once this has come to the aid of his allies at the right moment. Where the Viking is, there is victory, and a good feast after. He is equally at home in battle and at the table: laughs loudly, gives generously, tells a story so well that listeners fall silent until the very end.
His shield has seen rough treatment — the marks of old battles are visible on it. But he is in no hurry to replace it: a good shield, like a good friend, only grows stronger with the years.
He has lived in Gnomenlands long enough now that calling it a temporary stop would no longer be quite honest. He does not say this aloud. The longship was repaired two seasons ago. The gnomes noticed and have not mentioned it. By unspoken agreement, that is the most considerate thing they could do.
